Hi Friends,

In case I decide to keep just the 5 x 3.5 Inch Mobas in my Large 212 Gallon, which of the following available to me fish will be the safest Tank mates for them -

1. A Colony of 8 Yellow Labs
2. 8 Large ( about 3" ) Julidochromis Marleiris
3. 8 Small ( about 2" ) Julidochromis Transcriptus
4. 10 Small ( about 2" ) Leleupis
5. 5 Neolamprologus Calliurus shellies ( can buy them locally )

I know that the above are / may be potential fin nippers but because the tank has a fairly large foot print area - 6.5 Feet x 2.5 Feet, I guess the fin nipping could be minimum or zero.

Kindly guide me on which will be the safest of the above, as I already have these fish.

Or will it be best to let the 5 mobas be the only fish ( along with a few Bristle Nose Plecos ) in the 212 gallon tank. I want the mobas to be dominant, with good color annd constrast and I want them to grow fully with long flowing fins...

Kindly guide me...
Regards and Care

I wouldn't add the Labs due to the Moba's still at a small size and advantage they possibly could be killed by the Mbuna..

I would not add the shellies these will end up on the menu..

With the number of Julido's and Lelupi they will be too busy chasing each other so they may be ok but again your Moba's are still young be watchful for specific aggression with them..
