I have a LifeTech AP1500F and it is fully submersable anyways it is pretty powerful and my gourami's don't seem to like the current to much so i was wondering if i could use some tubing to cable tie it over the outlet so that it cut off the amount coming out?? Would this be safe for the pump/filter etc??

If you can somehow add a tube with many holes in it, or a flared outlet of some sort (like the oposite of a nozzle) you can reduce the velocity while maintaining the flow rate.

Any way to make a DIY spray bar, with a lot of large holes?
