With all my mbuna problems aside, there is something to be excited about. This Saturday I am picking up 3 baby white calvus. I'm super excited and I'm making sure everything is ready for when they get here. The holding tank is set up and there are a few tiny baby mbuna they can munch on. What else should I be feeding? Since all of my aquatic creatures up to this point are vegitarian I know the calvus will need a more meaty diet. I have NLS cichlid that will be their staple. I looked at the selection at the LFS and I'm not sure where to start. There are so many different types of freeze dried and frozen foods.
They are currently being fed a combination of HBH foods.

SOunds good

I've never had carnivorous fish before! Mostly what I've read is to make sure they get enough meaty foods, which is why I asked. I know with my mbuna I have to pay attention to the prtein level lol.

What if I did NLS as the staple with the others added as needed?

I occasionally drop in some shrimp pellets.

Yes Blue that will be fine and only feed the Krill a few times a week, NLS is my staple and i do HBH as well along with Omega one cichlid as an alternative..

Congrats on the whites i have one white and is getting big, just received 3 F1 Inkfins tonight..
