I my name is Cammie and I am new to this forum. I was recommended here by another member. I am a member and moderator of a local forum here in Eastern NC.
I have been into Saltwater and reef aquariums for about 12 years and have taken the plunge and converted it to freshwater. I currently still have a 60 cube SW reef but my 180 is going to be dedicated to a planted discus tank. Yes I know it is going to be a challenge but i am up for it. Anyway here are some pics of before I took it down

Here is a pic of it currently. i just set this up so it is about a week old and this is a pic with not quite all the water in it yet and the power heads have since come out. I still need lots more plants and some driftwood but it is a work in progress

Hello Cammie,
It looks like we joined this forum at the same time.
Great pics. Are those rocks in the fresh water from your yard? Do they need to be special rocks or can anything from the yard go in as long as it is clean?

You may want to try that test with drain cleaner too. That would indicate if the rock is too acidic, very rare. If you have it on hand you might as well just to be safe though.

Tennessee creek are fabulous! I seen em'. Nice tanks and good luck with the discuses. Welcome, this is a great forum!
