New Tank Scaping

Just a temporary setup, needed to get the plants in the tank. I'm waiting on a nice big driftwood centerpiece, then I will have updated pics.

Anyway, here's where the tank was before (blah...)

Here's the latest update. Took the pool filter sand out, used Red Flint gravel. $40 for 100 lbs, I couldn't pass it up.

Looks really good like the color of the substrate.

One thing I noticed is you have the rhizome buried on your java ferns. If they have roots off the rhizome those may be planted but the rhizome needs to be above the substrate and the same for any other plants that have a rhizome.

Again realy like the tank should look really nice when things fill in.

That is one beautiful tank. I use pond stones to anchor Java ferns and plants like Anubias so the rhizome is above the substrate. It works well and they look planted from the front of the tank.

You have a very nice assortment of fish too! Love the Clown loaches.
