Thoughts on Regulator setup

that will probably be a worthwhile investment

ya the good ones can be expensive (even more then the regulator it's self) but check out ebay for some good one's usually people use Ideal or swagelok metering valves or needle valves. not sure what size you need for that set up so you might want find out from some one more knowledgeable.

Looks like my MA957 all in one, decent setup middle of the road kit. As Oz mentioned the needle valve can and will most likely be tricky.
Just remember always close the reg knob completely off when setting up and after a refill, SLOWLY open the tank all the way open, then adjust working pressure.
I like many set mine at 20 psi.

It's also a good idea to open the tank with a quick burst with the reg off so if any debris is in the fitting it can be blown out.

i got the parts to start building my reactor today, hopefully some pics tomorrow... i need to use an old bit of garden hose to run from the fx-5 to the reactor and i still haven't ordered the co2 resistant tubing but other than that i think i have everything that i need

Oh and as promised pics of the reactor... so far.. i have to drill holes for and attach the hose barbs and the co2 line. Can i use a section of old garden hose to run water from the Fx-5 to my reactor. im assuming its fine but i wanted to make sure

i hope you understand the drawing. the yellow arrow is co2 injection and the two hose barbs are color coded... the red in flow into reactor on top and the blue is flow out on bottom
