opinions on nikon d3000

hey everyone wasnt really sure where to post, but im looking at getting this kit for the nikon d3000

has all kinds of stuff and seems like a good deal to me, whats everyones opinion of this camera or something better for around $600

The three lens is false. The lens is the kit lens and the other two are screw on attachments. The rest of the kit is either junk or comes with camera anyway. The camera itself is a nice camera, a good DSLR to start with.

Can't go wrong with a nikon. I go to dpreview.com for my camera reseach. Try there and see what you can find out.

yea i knew they were screw on lenses but figured its better than nothing, and its not much more than just the body and the regular lens

i read through some kenrockwell reviews that the nikon d40 is actually a better camera than the d3000.

And in his review of the nikon d3000, he repeats many times that it is nikons worst dslr ever.

I'm not saying he is right on with everything he says, but i will listen to all of his reviews. I followed and read his reviews for many camera's and lenses, and he has been a HUGE help for me.
