I am considering getting some moonlights for my 10 gal but I have some questions first.

I think moonlights are supposed to be used at night right?

I know you are not supposed to leave aquarium lights on at night because the fish need a day/night cycle to be able to sleep. Am I correct?

Would using moonlights at night interfere with my fishes sleep?

I have moonlights on four out of six of my tanks and I do not believe it bothers the fish. I like them for my viewing purpose, not for the fish and shrimp.

from what i saw when i had mine on the top dwellers got a little more energetic as they approached the light. they also liked to gather around the light. although they were moving more it's nothing like in the day. they seem to be more at rest than not. i'd say it won't hurt the fish.

Yes they are used at night.

You are correct, the fish do need a day/night cycle. My main lights are on a timer, always off at 9:30.

No, if done with low enough light, they do not interfere.

In the wild they always get some light at night...the moon light....so there is absolutely no problem on having one....and it also looks awesome...
