Any opinions as to how to clean the glass top or what to clean it with? I am talking about the water spots on the inside.

Thanks.

I would pull it off and clean them with vinegar. Then rinse well.

I clean them with tap water and an algae pad.

Vinegar seems to work for me.

A local aqaurium maitnence shop owner that has been in business for 20 years told me Muratic Acid will take it off right in seconds. As well, off pumps and any plastic parts that collect calcium deposits. Lime Away also works and vinager, not as effective but safer.

vinegar is the best. we use it to get water spots off of glass desert plates in the resturaunt industry. Totally non-toxic

I usually use tank water and a razor blade then buff with a clean soft cloth.

When the water doesn't work and I need to bring out the big guns I goto the vineger and the razor. That always works.

Muratic Acid is great but it comes with caution. If it gets on the plastic or wood frame of the tank it will stain it.

I personally wouldnt want any kind of harsh acid around my tank not even on the lid
