Turned my kitchen into a fishroom :) Growing out my Pineapple Swordtail babies in the 2 tens and more baby cories in the planted.

i'd be wary of having the tanks so close to the stove. why not put them both up on the countertop where the bar stools are for now and run all the electrical through a cord tidy tube thing?

edit - dang, do you ever keep your kitchen clean! lol.

Thanks gang. Cam , the light above the planted tank is the t-5 ho built in under the cabinet. I don't have room to do that on the other tanks and wouldn't want to anyway. Yes , it would look nice. Yes, hot mags on the tens.

Why do people always make comments about how clean my kitchen is ?? Are you not suppose to clean up after your self ? I can not stand things not clean , is it just me or are most guys slobs ?

Betta, I only use the one burner on Sunday mornings, it doesn't get hot hot hot.

Looks awesome....but is that kitchen used for cooking or just keeping fish? I have never seen my kitchen that clean!

Haha, I don't think I'm a slob, but I do cook a great deal and there's always a bit of clutter. Spices, etc.

Your kitchen looks more then clean it looks...unused!

Just don't cook any fish in there! They'll start rebeling if they see you cooking fish!

I wish I had a clean kitchen. We have a few house guests that won't leave (they were supposed to leave MONTHS ago) and they are a horrible mess! They just take over and spread the mess all around the house!

Thanks again for all the CLEAN comments. I guess my X wife rubbed off on me about keeping things clean. I don't understand though, don't you all clean up stuff when you are done with it. I just did major water changes on all 5 tanks today and the kitchen gets heavily used when I do but now it still looks like it does in the pic, I cleaned it all up :)

And Jaykit , don't forget to double SH.

Dwarf, they are in there to keep the sand cleaned up and doing a great job .

looks good. most people have clutter all over. spices, paper towels, a knife block, containers for large utensils, ect. i think that's what everyone means. i still think my kitchen is clean(i am always disinfecting and wiping things), it just looks well used. yours is immaculate.

I originally built in an undercabinet 55 watt pc AH SUPPLY kit 6700k but when that bulb burnt out I changed the fixture to a 48 watt t-5 HO 6700K.

I had a kitchen that clean like that once years ago. I had a 450 sq ft apartment on the 22nd floor downtown. I was single and just graduated from college with my first job.

I had a set of 4 plates/cups/bowls, 2 pans, a cookie sheet (pizza), and a set of silverware. All of them could fit in the small dishwasher. The kitchen was always clean because there wasn't much to dirty up.

The 15 gallon fishtank was on the dresser right next to the kitchen. With 4 comet goldfish in it and a 20W incandescent bulb for lighting.

The bed, a chair, and a bookcase I made in high school wood-shop made up the furnishings. The TV was on a Burger King box full of books with a blue blanket wrapped around it for aesthetics.

Then I got married and it's never been that clean or tidy since.
