Snail's Shell!!!!???

I was looking around my tank..... and noticed that my snails's shells (tounge twister) haha... anyways.. it look like they have tiny cracks in it. Wasnt like that when I first got them. Oh no.. what have I doneeee....

Oh and they are receding back. Is the snail outgrowing his shell or what.... what is happening!!

Could be growth lines, could be a calcium deficency, could be soft/acidic water. Try feeding some of Msjinkzd snail jello. You can find the recipe at the top of the page.

Also, add cuttle bone to the tank. They will rasp on it and it will give them extra calcium.

I used to have that problem...but now I toss in a couple fruit flavored tums once a month and the snails look great. Never tried the minty kind...only the fruit flavors.
