I have two pair of discus. My other pair eat their fry occassionally but was successful; this newer pair eat theirs all the time just when they are ready to swim they eat them up. The water para's are good. They are in a 55 gallon tank with another discus which is separated from them and a algae eater other than that everything is good. Maybe put them an no gravel or plants tank? Thanks for the info. Sportsnutim

It's more rare for discus in captivity to raise their fry. Most, at least that I've read and been told, tend to eat their fry. Best thing to do with the pair that is eating fry is to pull the eggs after they spawn and artificially incubate them. There's plenty of information on how to do this, so I won't go into details.

Sometimes it is just one parent. This is common. If it is just one, you can pull that one out and let the lone parent raise the fry. Try Simplydiscus.com
