ok,
I'll pretty much take everything you don't want.
That piece of live rock, that just throws off your aquascape a bit...give it to me
That fish that looked at u angry once...i'll take him
That piece of frag that grew just a lil too much....teach it humility by offering it to me.
...so i think i bit off a bit more than I can chew....
I bought an 24 gallon aquapod last night.
I pretty much have everything I need mechanically,
What I'm looking for is 15-20 ibs of live rock,
Any frags or corals, fish, shrimp, crabs, starfish
Honestly,
I would love some donations, but if you have some cheap prices, that would be great too.
I can pick up in Jersey, and in ny. I'm about ten minutes away form harlem.
I'd pay shipping for any frags or other items. My zip code 07666, i'm in nj.
let me know people.
you can hit me here or on my email at cwarriorx7@aol.com

Sorry to go OT already, but OMG that was one of the funniest ads I have ever read...
I think this person really deserves some great deals on SW stock ;)

sorry to be a little off topic but again a very funny post. also a low budget saltwater tank is almost never a good thing you want about a pound of live rock per gallon and how old are the bulbs? might have to replace them if it was used....but your best bet is to set it up as freshwater untill you have the funds because there are alot of unseen things that could go wrong and money is the best way to fix them. Do what you wish but thats my 2 cents been in the saltwater game over 5 years now so cheers and good luck

is the tank established already? if not it will be a month before you will want to put any critters in the tank, you need around 20lbs of live rock 100.00 at most pet stores or more, theres not such thing as a cheap sw tank unless you dont use live rock and you only have snails or cheaper fish like damsels 6.00 each
you need to do alot of research on sw before you go buy fish and such

yeah there are pet stores sticking it to people everywhere, finding a saltwater only store is your best bet for a deal, its 7.00lb here at local store with no algae or anything on it and 5.00lb everywhere else i go covered in algae and critters.
its just like the frags i buy for 10.00 at a saltwater only store are 20-25.00 each at regalar pet stores. you have to look for a good deal with sw stuff.

We live in the New York Metropolitan area where everything is a little more. The only all salt water store around here sells Fiji Rock for $8 a pound and Tonga Branch for $10 a pound and that's all they carry. They sell live sand for $2 a pound and snails are $2 to $3 each. Just setting up a 24 with sand, rock and a clean up crew is gonna cost you $300-$400. Thank God for reef forums.

manhattanreefs.com will be your new sw message board. its a very active nyc sw board. you can get quality items for a fraction at the lfs. $2.00/lb is nearly an every day occurrence there. an active frag exchange etc...

Thanks everyone.

I've got some yellowtail and azure damsels I wouldn't mind getting rid of, also have some extra LR. I'm also selling a chilli coral, but thats not really a beginner thing IMO. I'm in NJ, bout a hour west of NYC, and not really keen on shipping this stuff.
Wouldn't recommend getting anything for your tank besides rock and sand till its cycled tho.
