Just ran across this and I am so excited. This looks like a great convention and it's in the town I live in. Can't get any better than that. I will hopefully be able to get fish and plants to replace all the ones I lost in the fire. So whose has been to the past ones and what where they like? Also how many people are coming? :)

i went last year and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, i cannot go this year because its being held on my husband's bday weekend.

Doh! I thought the NEC was this last weekend! That's what happens when you don't work & don't have a big calendar. I'm just going for the auction Sun, it's too close to stay & too far to go more than once. Getting some loaches from Franksaquarium & maybe some auction goodies, don't bid me up!

I've been the past few years but due to lack of time and money I'm not going to make it this year. It was a lot of fun and hopefully things will work out better for next year. Its in a new location this year so it should be interesting to see how it works out this year.

My wife and are are heading down there Friday night sometime. I've gone to the last couple and they were awesome. I liked the talks on Fri and Sat the best.

I was hoping it would be cancelled due to the winter storms we've been having in the northeast. My parnets said it would definately be cancelled or attendendence would be extremely low and many people would be asking for their money back over the weather.
The storms came in so severe , we could not even get anyone to come from across town to check out my car that broke down. Today might be the first day I can get my car checked out.
A lot of people in the northeast had power outtages ( As I noted in my deleted post that I had to hike commute out to my boarded fish).
According to the news, the storms hit even worse south of here where the NEC event was being held. So if it went ahead, I wonder how people drove there.
I know even if I had a working car on Friday, there was no way I'd have doing a road trip where I was driving into worse weather then what has going on locally.
If you can't even get your broken down car towed, you know the driving conditions are going to be dangerious.
