So, I think my gouramies are dying (along with one of my Peacock Gudgeon).

I've had the Honey Gouramies for about a week and a half now. The first few days, they were fine. Then, Honey Gourami 1 kept on getting sucked up to the filter intake. I put him in a breeder net since I thought he's still getting acclimated and needs to regain energy. He's been fine.

Then about yesterday, I started noticing HG2 (honey gourami 2) that was originally in the main tank sitting on the gravel, falling over to it's side. I didn't take any noticed because the lights were about to turn off and thought it was normal.

When I came home from school today, HG2 was on the gravel floor flat. I quickly grabbed him and put him in the breedernet along with HG1 since I thought they were getting sucked up on the filter.

Then, when I placed HG2 with HG1, HG1 started flipping around and now is flat like HG2.

What's happening to them? What is their sensitivity like. I checked my water and the pH is 7.6, Ammonia O, Nitrite O and Nitrate O (it's not showing up anything, but I assume there are some nitrates). Temp is 77.

Any help would be much appreciated. I thought the Honey Gouramies were much less sensitive than the Dwarf counterpart.

My Peacock Gudgeon is also doing the same think as my HG2. Ughhh.

They are timid fish and can be sensitive when you first get them. I have had a couple that failed to thrive and a couple more that are doing great. Maybe they were in stressed condition when you bought them and were just unable to recoup their strength when moved into the new tank. Maybe they were just from a poor stock.
Does the tank have plants and hiding spaces for them?

Anyone know if these are susceptible to dwarf gourami disease? (DGD)

Personally for peacock gudgeon tankmates, I'd have done my best to find some sparkling gouramis...

Sorry, I really don't have any experience with them. The only dwarf anabantoids I have tried (and had good luck with) are paradisefish and bettas, that's it.

Yes, I have plants and driftwood and some caves. I think they might have been poor stock.

I was wondering also if they were suseptible to DGD.

As far as tankmates, they weren't bullied at all. Only in the beginning where the gudgeons, and i mean, the first 5 minutes mean to the honey Gouramies.

I would have tried Sparkling Gouramis, but them being so small, I'm not sure if they would have survived much better.

Did your honeys survive the night? You mentioned the grudgeon is having problems too so it sounds like they may have been sick when you bought them. You could go back to the store and see how their honeys are doing. Any pics?

I found Honeys to be extremely sensitive. Out of 4 or 5 I have purchased, I've only ever had one make it long term. The LFS told me that is fairly typical for the ones they get.
