I have set up a 10 gallon goldfish tank and I am wondering if there is anyway to use live plants. Most plant profiles say that they should be between 74-82 degrees which is too warm for little goldfish so I was wondering what kind of plants would work for a cold tank?

in my experience, as long as the water is 10+ C*, you're okay. the plant profile really states their natural habitat.

what would be a good plant suggestion for a low light situation?

java fern, javafern, anubias, some crypts.

If you have 1.5watts/g+ then Anacharis or Elodea will go nicely.

I second Java Fern. The stuff will grow with practically no light (not very fast mind you).

Of course you might be best off with Silk plants as goldfish are very good at eating things when you aren't looking.
