Interesting, but wondering if there's a way to switch the UV feature on/off separately for UV treatment only when desired. I'm guessing not.

Seems to me 500 gph is pretty fast for the 9w UV to do much good. It's also awfully tall, I think it wouldn't fit under my tanks

I like it just with the canister had more volume and stacking trays. Is the UV centrally located within the canister? Seems like this would kill the beneficial bacteria first and foremost before it harmed any thing in the water column......hmmmmm

To me the look like the first circumference clone filter on the market having familiar aspects to all three brand name filters. The internal bottom pump of the magnum, the circumference filter packing style of the Ocean Clear and the plumbing and lid locks of the FX5.

Uh-oh, knock-off circumference filter technology has finally arrived, Hoorah!

Now if they could only come out with a 5 gallon model for $100

As simple as that thing is compared to all the parts required for an in-line basket filter, it must cost even less then the Sunsun to make.

Give it a few months to a year of selling drought and they'll come to there senses and bring the price down to about $60 shipped. For an FX5 size clone I wouldn't pay more then $100 shipped as this thing is too small and for that price can buy a new Magnum 350 which you know works well..
