What about Bamboo ?

im fairly certain it depends on what type of bamboo it is too. if its real bamboo, it doesn't like what is called "wet feet", so no. if its lucky bamboo (which isn't really bamboo at all) it should work as long as you only submerge the bottom and leave the top above water
