It looks like a pink con to me not a parrot.

^^I agree. If they are some type of mix it looks like severums were involved.

They are parrots the two in the bottom tank have a pink convict in that tank with them and the convict doesn't have as much curve to it underside more flat than they do. convict severum sounds about right.
thanks

^The only thing to remember. These fish would not be called parrots. The parrot fish is a specific cross between two or more species of fish. It is agreed that the midas cichlid played a role in the creation of the parrot cichlid but the others are unknown. The ofspring of these fish should not be sold as parrot fish but as a cross between a convict and possibly a severum.
Good luck with them!

just for clarification
the true Parrot Cichlid is Hoplarchus Pssiticum
it is not a hybrid made from combining the genetics of two different species. aka blood parrot, red parrot etc etc

hey look like "Jellybean Convicts" to me. They are hybrid of sort, but are supposed to be part blood parrot, part con. But, trust me! They are just like cons! they can be just as nasty, and breed like mad! i had 4 pairs myself. great parents. it looks like you have a pair (m/f) yourself
