Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted in a little while since I've been busy with sick fish. I lost a Clownfish to Ick, but by isolating my Bicolor Angel and treating him with a freshwater dip (20 seconds) and Hypo-salinity (1.017 SG for a week), he has come out of it ok.

Unfortunately, when I bought my 10 gallon hex (I know, I know  ), I wasn't thinking ahead as to how poor of a SW tank it would make. It is now for sale in the paper, and I'm picking up a 30 gallon tank/stand/lights combo tomorrow that I found in the paper for $50 bucks! Sure beats $200+ at my LFS! I plan to start it as a FOWLR, then a reef maybe 6mos-1yr down the road. Sadly, the Angel, a 5lb piece of live rock, and hermit crab are residing in a 5.5 gallon till I get the 30 gallon set up and cycled.

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for livestock for this tank, please feel free to let me know. I will post progress pictures of the new tank setup on my website (address TBA). Thank you to everyone who has responded to my posts and helped me with all my dumb questions!

No questions are dumb questions, its the people that dont bother to ask them that are.

From everything i have read, the smaller the tank the harder it is to keep balanced. saying that though, im sure you could make a great little reef tank out of that with the right amount of dedication and time. You just have to be aware that a big selection of fish will not be suitable for such a small tank, but there is plenty of info about to let you know of the adult size and tank requirements of different fish.

Good luck with the new set up.
