My only concern is the "Contains complexed hydrosulfite salts". what exactly is it? also does it really remove ammonia like stated?

Nothing removes ammonia really, except water changes.
However Seachem Prime is probably one of the best water conditioners out there. I use it on all my tanks and it works great.

Agreed..Prime is perfectly safe and is one of the best water conditioners you can buy. It doesn't remove ammonia per say, but neutralizes it rendering it harmless. It is then removed by the biofilter.

A 1 man owned/opperated LFS guy told me about it yrs ago, thats all I've used ever sense. I've never had anything happen that would even lead me to believe that it was the problem.
I did read in a mag(a few yrs ago) that a man raising clown fry(saltwater) was dripping it into the fry tank all day. Seemed like he attributed it(Prime) to alot of his success?
The only thing I've done any kind of "test" to see how it works was, put one drop in a vile of water that had been tested for nitrates that was red, and it went clear. I could imagine all the chemical reation/chemistry stuff of "why" it done that. But I thought it was cool  :D

Not to mention a $20 bottle lasts FOREVER (treats 5000g) compared to most water conditioners that need a talblespoon per 10g. Prime uses 1ml per 10g.
