What is a ghost angel? I know they have a stripe-less gene, but how many spots can they have? By spots I'm referring to the black oval thing. I'm asking because I got another blue angel and he/she (unsexed right now) resembles a ghost angel. He has one stripe through his eye one at the top of his body the connects to the dark markings on his dorsal, there is another that is smaller oval marking that is about one centimeter toward his eyes and 1 centimeter towards his belly (down). Another huge oval marking at the back of the dorsal and half way to the anal fin {(in length wise still on the body) (You may want to read this twice)}. The last oval is on the very base of the tail.

Now after reading that I would like you to tell me if it might be a ghost or not(he/she sure disappears a lot like a ghost, but just to return after I get frustrated) I would also like you to post pics of what a ghost angel looks like.

I think you may have answered your own question.

ghost is heterozygous for stripless (it's not missing it's a recessive gene (stripes)). usually occurs in the silver.
generally they are stripless, save for the stripe thru the eye and tail.
portions of stripes my express in the body(what you may be referring to as spots)

there is also a black ghost similar but black/darker color

A fish that is heterozygous for Stripeless. This results in a mostly silver fish with just a stripe through the eye and tail. Sometimes portions of the body stripes will express.
