I decided to go with my old red sea yeast set up again to get better plant growth in my 55g aquarium. The plants are ok but with my high light enviroment I thought it would be better with co2 in order to obtain a more modest growth (lighting: 2- 96 watt CF @ 6500k each- roughly 3.5w/g ). If I put the co2 line directly under the fluval intake will it damage the componenets of the cannister filter? I read mixed reviews on the search sites here at AC. I have been doing this for 5 days with good reults already and a litttle pearling with the microswords and no airlocks or funny sounds from the fluval...still quiet as ever. After several bubblel counts, it ends up to be 15 - 25 bubbles/minute. I don't want to mess with reactors and such if I don't have, but I also don'want to shorten the lifespan of my fluval filter.
