Fertilizer Sticks !!??

Morning All,

I`ve read of some-one using fertilizer sticks in thier planted aquariums.
Will the fertilizer sticks that you can buy at garden centres be OK to use in an aquarium or are there specific ones that you need to get ??
 
i believe you may be referring to jobes' plant spikes for ???palms and ferns??? maybe?

the best way to go about it is to make your own ime. there's a sticky in the planted section. in there is a root tab recipe posted by username riiz. ime it works better than anything i could buy commercially. one batch makes quite a bit of tabs too.
