Cichlid tank for grandma!

I need some suggestions. I've always liked cichlids, so I'm leaning towards mbuna species. It's a 30 gallon tank, which I know is on the smaller side. I just need something that is colorful so that she can see them better. I'm thinking yellow labs.

Please, if possible, give me a stocking list from scratch! Thanks everyone!
 
never thought about convicts. This is essentially my tank, but at my grandma's house lol. I've had convicts before, but I'm looking for something a little brighter......her eyes aren't the best.

Peacocks might work
I've dont really have experience with shellies.....any specifics?
 
I can't believe no one has suggested Saulosi! Ps. saulosi is the perfect mbuna for a tank that size. They only get to be 3"-4" long and are very colorful. The males are blue with black stripes and the females are bright yellow. Do a species tank and it will be fantastic!
