I have a small female betta and I am wondering if I could keep her with two same sized male guppies without any problems. She seems to be very peaceful if that helps.

Guppies can fin nip, be careful even if it is a female betta.

I have gone through a couple fin nippers, but most of them ended up as feeders for my purple spotted goby. The two guppies in the future betta tank are both peaceful and haven't nipped at eachother's fins so I think she will be okay.

I have heard of females harming males occasionally during spawning and I figured that it's rarer because males are more aggressive and usually assert dominance first. I was just worried that she would see these peaceful guppies as male bettas and attack them, but I think they will be okay now.

My concern would actually be the opposite: it would be that the female betta may nip at the male guppies fancy tails. I see that you did say that the female betta is peaceful so I would give it a shot. :) I've housed female bettas with female guppies with no problems in the past. Good luck! :)

I agree with Stargazer. I think female bettas can be as agressive as males. It's worth a shot though if your betta is mellow. I would have a plan b though... just in case.

I agree, I would have a separate tank setup ready, it's worth a shot but it's risky.

I think it depends entirely on the betta. I would have trusted my male with guppies before either of my females.

Yep, you'll just have to try it. I've had excellent luck time and again with Bettas and Guppies but others haven't. So try it :-)

Definitely depends on the individual fish. My female betta lives happily in a 10 gallon with five male guppies (flashy orange and black), three peppered corys, two mystery snails, and 10 ghost shrimp. It's planted and has several caves that the corys and snails seem to enjoy more than anyone else. Haven't seen any damage in the few months I've had this setup...
I also have a five gallon with a male betta and a couple female guppies and a mystery snail. They seem happy, too. Maybe I'm just lucky? :)

Depends on the fish. I had a super chill female that I kept with my guppies and she was fine. But I also had one that was very active and feisty and ended up wiping out a whole tank of red deltas. So, be careful!
