I think i have a pregnant fish.. how can i tell? it is very fat (more than normal and wants to be alone) but where and how can i check if it is?

hi ,
how i know if my rain bow shark is pregnant. it become real agressive and her stomag is real big who can help me plz. is 3 years old. and male is small and how long she going to be pregnant if she is? :sad

Those sound like fresh water fish too me. I'm not sure but, I think that the rainbows lay eggs. You probably don't have the set up needed to rear the fry if it's even possible. I wouldn't worry though as far as the long term health of the mother. Other than eating a little more gravid females won't cause you any problems unless they are territorial when breeding. I don't know about your rainbow but, you'll probably get better answers for the fresh water people.
