whats missing...?

personally, while not a typical piece in a tang tank, I would stick some sort of tall decor item in there... maybe some branchy driftwood? may not be the look you are going for though.

either way, what I think you should definitely add are some cyps... maybe even rainbows... get some fish that will occupy that mid-to upper water column! all of that said, it looks real nice, man. I have to find me some rocks like that!

good idea for the cyps, i thought about driftwood but im scared about lowering my off the charts Ph lol above 9

You'd be fine with driftwood. I use it in African tanks; it's not enough to lower most of the liquid concrete in most people's taps.
That is one tiny Tret! At least he/ she will get big fairly quickly. Is that a Cylindricus in the pic with the Alto? Nice mix. Any other inhabitants not pictured?

ditto afrocichlid... I have wood in my tang tank, and it is not enough of it to affect the pH. I even tied anubias and java fern to mine, just to get a little green in there! LOL...

at any rate, you should be fine... the tank looks real good, and will be even better when you add some mid-to-upper level swimmers!

i have some driftwood in a 30, and my water is freakin rock solid. the tangs and mbuna that i keep in there dont seem to mind. my 30g sucks though, i need to clear it out and start it over.

i love those rocks, what are they? i need to get some. and btw, i second the idea of cyprichromis, they bring life to a tang tank.

arnt the cyps hard to keep, or if i can keep a comp then i can keep them
the 2end to last pic is a Cylindricus. the rocks are blue rocks from a rock quarry very clean and no contaminants. i plan on some cats to live it up also, and some maruengunsis, and maybe some julies or some helienthus. the tret might have to go cause at 1.2 inches he is a boss to the comp at 2 in, and the other fish beet the tret up so i dont know what to do
