I just picked up 5 of these bright orange shrimp today. They were listed as "orange bee" shrimp but I doubt that's what they are. They most certainly don't look like the orange bee shrimp pictured at planetinverts. Anyone know what they are?

Here they are with the little cory hasborus I picked up for a size comparison.

Not sure of the species, but I've seen orange Caradinia f/s a few times. I believe they're a species that has one or more larval stages and require salt water for them to survive.

Well, I can't help on the ID, but the shrimpies and cories are cute! Good luck with them!

caridina propinqua. They are not sulawesi i don't think but from Sri Lanka. They are a low order shrimp (young have a larvael stage requiring brackish waters to develop). There isn't a whole lot of info out there but its said they come from mangrove swamps. They have been on import lists alot lately coming in from Calcutta.
