Is it a good thing if your cardinal fish suddenly states hiding, and the loses all of its color, and then comes back the next day as if nothing had happened. My stepbrother thought it was dead, then suddenly boom, its fine.

Have you checked your water parameters? Any other fish in the tank acting strangely? What is the stocking in the tank?

Ok, the stock list is 1 clown, 1 firefish, 3 green chromis, 1 anemone, a lot of little things on the side of the tank that look like little feather dusters with spiral shell/casing, 1 turbo snail, 4 small snails, 4 hermits. The parims were fine yesterday hen i checked. I seriously dont know wats wrong. I lost a clownfish and a turbo to this tank, i dont want to lose the cardinal.

That usually only happens when they are completely freaked out. Not what I'd consider common, but it happens.

Thanks Amph, sorry it took so long to respond, i was busy. Maybe the cat jumped on the tank or something, IDK what else could have scared the gutsy little fish.
