How many plecos can you keep?

I have a 55 gallon tank with a 10" pleco and a 125 gallon tank with a 16" pleco. Can I put both of them togeather in the 125 gallon tank. I am taking down the 55 gal tank. To many other things to do. I was hoping they would not fight each other. I can't think they would like each other and want to mate?

Are they common plecos? If so i believe they are territorial and may fight. PLus a 10" and 16" plecos is a lot for any tanks bio load to handle :)

I've had 2 in a tank before and they did fight but I think it depends on the fish. Also, they didn't fight until they got larger.... your 16" might be a little bossy in the beginning, definitely worth watching carefully to see if they settle in. Although they did chase each other at times though, they never did really cause injury. Eventually I separated the 2 because the chasing wouldn't stop and they were making a mess of things as far as the deco, nevermind the bio-load..... they are pretty heavy bio-buggers so be careful in that case.
