Power outage

returned home to find we had a power utage. the 110X was not circulating from the fuge.
quick check and quiet one 6000 was out of commission.. could not get it restarted.
luckily when I plumbed it in I used a disconnect coupler.. and am quickly able to remove the pump..
upon inspection I discovered the ceramic shaft had broken..this caused the impeller to become uncentered and then damaged the impeller.

repair parts can be shipped over nite parts were nearly $60 pump on sale for $102

new pump on the way

Yes, I run several Koralias in the tank so it has circulation
I put a temp small pump in the fuge to keep the water moving in there too

Good to hear everything's alright. It's scary to come home to that--I've seen it all too many times. Most of the time, everything was alright, whereas others, there were serious problems (though the latter was when I came back from a week-long trip).
