hello is there really any way to distinguish a yellow lab cichlid with a kenyi because i have fish that are supposed to be electric yellows but look a lot like kenyi i will post pics later tonight

Yellow lab

Male Kenyi

Kenyi have faint stripes and a different head shape.

Pictures would help the most. Some labs out there don't have black on their fins or may have white bellies.

Heres a dominant male Kenyi...so basically the black on the labs is a dead give away.

Those pictures are tiny, I can't tell much from them but it does not look like either a lab or a kenyi to me. Looks like some sort of hybrid. Can you post larger pictures?
