Mystery Snails & Yellow Shrimp in same tank?

I have been having some serious issues with my yellow shrimp and am struggling to figure out why. I have had great success with reds and blue pearls, but the yellows keep dying off on me. They are the only shrimp that I keep with mystery snails and there are about 12 medium sized mystery snails in the tank. The reds are in a tank with MTS, assassins, ramshorns, and pond snails. The blue pearls are in a tank with just MTS.

I am wondering if I am over feeding the yellow shrimp in an attempt to make sure the mystery snails have enough to eat. With this last batch of yellows that I got, the shrimp were feeding really well at first. I had a dozen coming to the food when it was feeding time. That was about 2 to 3 weeks ago. Since then, I have noticed some shrimp in distress and now I am lucky if I have 2 or 3 come to the food when it is feeding time. Good news is that I have 2 berried females. Bad news is that the only shrimp I ever see in the open (i.e., heavily planted tank with dwarf sag) are 3 rather large females, two of which are berried.

Would I be better off with the mystery snails in their own tank?

yes. Mystery snails have a pretty big bioload for their size, typically you want to give them about 2.5g per adult snail. Have you been measuring your parameters? What size is this tank? What size are the snails?
