will tufa rock (lace rock) eventually become live rock in a saltwater tank, or will I need to get new live rock? I have a brackish tank at 1.013 right now which I will eventually raise to full salt for my GSP. I have lace rock in there for deco right now, do I need to replace it?

no. just add some live rock and the bacteria/critters from the live rock will infest the tufa rock, therefore making the tufa rock live rock.

It depends on your definition of live rock. The bacteria will make the rock "live" without adding anything, but you wont get any coraline algae and other organisms living on it without introducing a source.
