i have a black plakat female betta that i think is full of eggs. her belly is full and round, she is showing horizontal stripes. do i need to start prepping to put her with a male? she is about 5-6 months old now. I have a black plakat male that i bought as a pair, if i put the two where they can see each other will he start a nest? And how long will the female keep the eggs? this is my 1st attempt at breeding bettas, so go easy on me
