water wisteria aka hygro ??

Mine arrived, there were already some roots on some of the stems in the bunches. right now they are planted as bunches. Would they do better if I separated them? It's a 29 gallon tank, I removed a huge amazon sword so I do have a little room to fill.

Yes, planting them individually would be better.
 
Wisteria is a mad grower and there's very little that will stop it except for lack of light. The only challenge with growing Wisteria is keeping it thinned out to keep light shining on the baby stems. So, yes, you'll want to separate them from the bunch.
