Carapo Knife

he's beautiful!!!
Thank you. ;)
Is he difficult to maintain? What's the max size he'll grow to? How long have you had the beast?
Well, it does depend on what you mean by 'difficult'. I have had a lot of Knives the past few years, so I guess I'm used to the maintenance of them. Unlike the Zebra Knife, this guy eats pellets. :D Works for me, lol, but he is still fed bloodworms, earthworms; the more meatier foods. Max size is 2 feet, but I have never seen one in captivity over 12". And I got him in December of 09.

I picked up a little one (~3"), and placed him/her in my 40 gallon tank with a couple hundred endler's. One of the CCA members collected it in Peru back in January, and brought it back in his suitcase. I won it in the club auction. How quickly should I expect it to outgrow a 12" (front-to-back) tank with all the live food it can eat available?
I tried that with a small clown knife once. In about 7-8 weeks the bugger outgrew my 55. Hopefully the Carapo will be a more manageable size, I have several 75's now.

Couple pics of the little one:
