Obviously this is a take on the tang thread, lol... I did a massive WC in my 55g on Weds. My dominant male Demasoni has been showing his neon breeding colors, so I have come to expect the spawn when he does this. He is aggressive with it, but not abusive. Friday I notice my dominant female dem holding what looks to be a big mouthful of eggs. I have prob 50 dems at the moment growing up. 15 @ 1'' in my 40g growing out and 35 or so in my 10g with mostly .25'' and a few @ .75 or so...This is her 4th or 5th spawn and she has had more in each brood. I think her last brood was 18 or so. So I may top 20 this time.

My 55g has been a show lately. The Dem flying around trying to breed, my red zebra trying to breed with the female red zebra and the female msobo at all times. He is a butthole, lol. I kind of want to get rid of him as he wants to cross with my msobo. Neither species gives him the time of day though, lol... My almost 6 inch male msobo has taken to being a little more aggressive, but still no spawn. I have had him for 4 months so far. The juvies are getting arounf breeding size, so I hope for it to happen in the next couple months... And lastly, my albino socolofi. The one male is constantly shimmying to the 2 females. He isnt very good at luring them to his spot though, so its kinda funny. She held 3 months ago for about 4 days, then spit or swallowed the eggs. Well, today she is holding. I am happy.

The albinos I have are great. The new ones I have attempted have ended quickly. I added 2 females and within hours they were dead. I bought two more females and added them to a different tank. They were not bullied at all and yet died within 2 days. So, I am giving up on trying to add any more. Only way I will get more is through spawning, so I am hoping she holds to term this time...

Oh, and my female mbamba is holding for prob the 8th time, lol. I am overrun with mbamba, lol...

Coolness i knew i recognized that thread name hehehe..

Great pics, Justin! Hey, your mbunas have a baby factory in your tank!!!

My Demasoni have been breeding pretty consistently now, so I have a lot growing out and they are heavily in demand :) This is the albino's 2nd time holding. She held 3 months ago, but ate the eggs. I am hoping she holds for at least 2 weeks at which time I will strip. Its actually a running joke with me and the owner of my lfs that my red zebra dont breed. he says the dirtier the water the better, lol as they breed in anything. what makes it funny is mine have never bred.

Those are some excellent looking fish - looking fantastic. I like the tanks too.

Thanks guys. Blue, he does look nice, it doesnt come through as much with pics. Since the male juvie I have came from a different source, I am curious to see the markings he has, since msobo tend to vary....

On a side note, I did my weekly water change a few hours ago and I am sitting here noticing my large male msobo displaying for my females. This is the first time I have seen him do so in the 4 months I have had him. The female isnt very receptive, but hopefully persistance pays off, lol.. It would be awesome if they breed, especially since they are pretty much full grown, I will have a TON of fry. I am gonna be watching over the next few weeks and hoping, wish me luck!

Hey do you wanna trade for fish i am very interested in about 14 Demasoni fry or juvies or i can buy them from you.. Where you at..
