Now I know it's probably not ideal for them, but am curious to know how many people have Briggs with sand substrate?
Would like to know how they are doing with it and such. Pics would be good too if you have any.

I'm not sur how the rumor started that sand would be bad for brigs, but TRUST me, they have NO issues with it. After all, I highly doubt that the Amazon river has no sand or fine substrate in it! They simply glide over the surface of the sand. It cn get a little messier for the tan owner, as the slime trail they leave goops up the surface of the sand, but it doen't last longer than a couple hours before breaking up.
Here is a couple of my brigs on sand, along with a bunch of MTS, which ADORE sand.

I have them in tanks with sand substrate... both a silica sand and some Tahitian Moon Sand. They do just fine.

Like the others said, they do absolutely fine in sand substrates. When I first introduced mine they had an issue of sand sticking to them while gliding across the sand, but that went away in a day or so.
