Catalina T5HO Light Fixture
Does anybody have a recent model of a Catalina T5HO Light Fixture? How would you rate it? Thank you.

I bought a Catalina 48" 4 x 54W T5 fixture about 3 mos. ago. The build quality is very good. If you talk to the owner, he can customize the fixture for you. He can cut the length of the fixture slightly longer or shorter or add switches to the fixture to control different bulbs to go on and off (in a multi-bulb fixture). You can also ask for different Kelvin bulbs than what they have on the website. The only problem that I had was that the light he sent me had a slot that was too small to fit the legs that they were selling for the light. He finally figured out that one of his vendors screwed up a batch of these lights and made the slots too small. In the end, he got it fixed and sent me the new legs free of charge. The light's been working fine. I definitely do recommend them; it's a solid product.

48" 3x T5HO High quality ballast and built very well w/ individual reflectors. For that price, it is ideal in term of what matter vs cost. Also you get free splash-guard and maybe even free legs. The included bulbs are ok and shouldnt be concerned w/ too much. Just buy better bulbs if you can. Timely shipping too.

Hey Crisp, I have just received my 3x65 last week, and I am pleased with it. The reflectors are simply excellent and the lights reach within the aquarium very well. The lights are giving my plants the serious, high light they need.
My rating for the lights are medium-high 4/5 stars.
