Over the past few weeks, I've gone from this:

to this:

The color balance is a little different than on the first one. It's a bit less over saturated and a bit more realistic...but still not quite right.

I'm soaking a large piece of wood that will be placed in the middle, hence the gap. But at this rate, I'll be soaking it for weeks. Once it's in there I'll try to attach some Java Fern.
The Crypts (I believe that's what those are) aren't putting out as many leaves as they were a month or two ago, so they're looking tattered. Strangely, a few of them have started to put up leaves just after they've been moved. The Hygro had grown big enough to be cut and replanted in the rear/middle-right. The Rotala is doing some funky stuff on the left. It's basically a tangled mess over there. But now that all of the Hornwort and most of the Anacharis are out...more light and nutrients will be available to everything else...so that Rotala may form one big bush there in the corner.
I'm having a hard time keeping any measurable iron in the tank. I'll add Flourish Iron per Seachem's instructions and test in a day or two, only to find my Iron readings at zero. So I dosed about 150% tonight and we'll see how that tests out in a couple of days. Nitrates are still low - .05 or so, and I have zero PPM of Phosphates. So...some chems are still lacking. Flourish carbon has improved things. Slightly redder on the Rotala, the ferns are much thicker, the Hygro is growing longer, slightly fatter and slightly redder leaves, but stragely all of the crypts have slowed down.
Thus ends my update
