Now that I am working at my lfs I have gotten myself into some new cats. I have gotten farlowellas in 3 of my tanks right now. I am trying to breed one pair in one tank and got the others because they are the most awesome at algae eating. Today I went into work to get my schedule and the royal farlowella pair my boss ordered for me were in. I love them! I have attached 2 pics of the regular farlowellas and 2 of the royals. The royals are light
They are all in highly oxygenated tanks with alot of water movement and they seem to really like it. The royals are lighter in color and have longer fins.

Great cats!

I often thought of trying a couple farlowellas, they have a really interesting shaped body, but thought I remember reading that they are very sensitive to changes in water quality. Instead I have 3 SAEs, 2 Ottos and 2 Bristlenose Plecos to take care of my algae in my planted tank.
