Hello all, I posted something about this a month or so ago but I can't seem to figure it out. I have 3 giant danio's (about 3" long each) and I swapped them from a 55 gallon tank they'd been in for about 6 months into my new 36 gallon. I didn't pay much attention to their detail when catching them but the next day after being in the new tank, I noticed a red/orange coloration to the lower rear portion of the body and bottom of the tail. The best I could tell from books and speaking to people was they had septicemia but I couldn't find any real photos of the sickness, only drawings which showed more of a vericose vane look. I purchased Maracyn Two and treated with no results and then found some other medicine for septicemia and started to treat for that but no one keeps enough on the shelf for me to complete the recommended treatment but I've seen no change anyway. I'm halfway through the treatment and stopped by the local petsmart to get some more medicine and of course they don't have enough, I already bought what they had before so I was checking out the other products and a guy comes over to help me so I asked if they had any giant danio's and they did. We went over and sure enough, a couple of them had the same coloration, just not as bad. He wasn't sure so he got another guy that was supposed to know more and he looked at it and said it looks similar to septicemia but that it usually more veiny like in the pictures and being that I had already treated with two different medicines, thought it may just be normal coloration for the fish, possibly a difference in the sexes. I'll try and get some photos posted later (never tried posting photos so don't know if I'll be successful). Does anyone have any giant danio's? Has anyone seen this trait on giant danio's? thanks Kyle
