I gave my parents 2 adult angelfish to keep in their 36G bowfront. I don't think they are a pair, but they have been living together for 2 years, but always with other fish to distract them.

Right now the angels are the only fish in their tank. I'm trying to decide whether we should add cories, tetras or both (or leave things be).

I have young bronze cories (c. aeneus) that I am raising, so putting some of these in is attractive to me since I need to find homes for them anyway.

Is the shoal of cories sufficient, or should I also give them some tetras dithers? The angels aren't shy, I just don't want to encourage them to pick on each other if there are no other fish to distract them.

Thanks!

the angels will be fine in the tank by themselves.

we add other fish for us more than the fish (in most cases)

If you want to add fish, i would make sure any tetras you add are not fin nippers or small enough to be considered food by the angels.

cories are active and will add more activity. but IME they do not bother adult angels
