Not having to go any place, or do anything. Today is not one of these days.

Getting up early to have my first cup of coffee, watch the sun rise, and get 30 minutes of peace before everyone else is up, and actually getting to do all three.
Having my 4 year old son and 8 year old daughter make me Valentine's - in any other month than February.

Waking up to a nice breeze coming in the window, and not hearing the construction workers across the street.
Gotta love how they basically all have to do with waking up lol.

For me the little thing that gives me the greatest rush in the morning is when my preschool age kids say they want to go to work with me.
The beauty is that I can actually do that since they sit and enjoy coloring or looking at the fish and then they go shopping with my wife when she shows up about an hour or so later.

Another simple thing is when my little girl hawk, my petite female chinese crested hairless makes it her duty to wake up the kids one by one, all the while looking at me to make sure it is ok for her to bother the sleeping kids. Truly a funny way to watch the morning start.

The quiet time sitting by the dying fire after eveyone else has gone to bed/passed out while your sitting there enjoying the last beer and trying to decide if your going to sleep there in the chair or try and make it to the motorhome and you realize that when you wake up no matter what you decide it will all be good so you take another sip of your beer and sit back with half closed eyes and enjoy the crackling movement of the fire in the dying coals.
Man after reading that its a dang good thing its spring I've been couped up way to long.

Getting into your tree stand 45 minutes before daylight on the first day of Buck with 6" of fresh snow on the ground. Pouring a cup of coffee, having a cold pop tart, and listening to the sounds of nature between night and dawn. No cell phones, no tv, no talking.....just nature and you see in the twilight deer coming toward you. There isn't anything like it.

Waking up without an alarm or somebody knocking on the door, knowing I dont have to go to work. Have the sun shining so I can ride my motorcycle and head to the lake with a 6pack of killians and just hang out on the boat all day without any cellphones or disturbances outside of a few ducks. :D
