I have a neon goby and he's ok, but I'm thinking of getting a cleaner wrasse just because they are a bit more active. I had a skunk shrimp for a few months and had no diseases whatsoever. When he died, I got the neon goby and since then I've had four fish die of illness.

Unfortunately my other crustaceans are too large to get another cleaner shrimp. Trust me - I tried. Dropped him in the tank and never saw him again.

So who does a better cleaning job, and will there be any cleaning competition that leads to aggression?

cleaner shrimp are known to disappear when put in a tank. i had one in a community tank before i changed it to a predator tank and i found it months later avoiding the lion fish...
