ok, i just spotted one just now because it was moving around erratically... stopped in one place for a second.. then super quickly moved or jumped to another branch and ran super fast around the moss..
what the heck is it and is it something i should be worried about?

I just saw some running around one of my tanks as well. Not sure what they are, but mine don't seem to be hurting anything. Yet, at least. :)

The little white running things in my invert tank are seed shrimp. They are harmless.

I put out this (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222097) post about something similar a few days ago.
I couldn't get a good visual of it with the naked eye other than as you described...a small white spec moving around pretty quickly. Using the macro lens on the camera, I was able to see it better.

I had an army invasion at one time all over the glass interior swimming/scurrying real fast like speed demons. but at same time I had what I was told also had planaria, those squiggly white strands/worms floating around. so I thinks they be the babes of planaria waiting to grow up to swim around. thats what I thinks!

Planaria are flat grey to brown worms, not squiggly white strands. I think you're referring to detritus worms. As for the white things, they ARE cyclops and seed shrimp. I breed them. :lol2:

so I've been mis-guided in posting my issues with these whitey stuff.
so detritus worms - are they harmful? how do they come about? I have found they incubate propagate in my filter media. what do you suggest to get rid of them? I have been doing w/c's but now clean my filter media every 3weeks, may have to drop it down to 2wks.
thks
p.s. what about the speedy little white things I saw on my glass - I mean they are fast & not affected my the waterflow (2 ac110's)
