Hi all,

I just moved my EBRs from a communal 75 to a 20 in hopes that they might pair up and eventually lay eggs. There are 5 of them in the tank right now - I am waiting to see if any pairs form. I am very new to the EBRs and have no idea how to tell males from females. It is much easier w/the GBRs once they reach breeding age. I may have a pair starting - they are still skittish but these 2 have been staying pretty close, even scooping out the sand a bit. Time will tell. I have pics w/and w/o flash.

Hope they pair up!

Hey Josh,

Thanks - I had these in the 75 w/the GBR and about 15 bronze corys. Way to busy and distracting. With in a day of being moved to their own 20 they started pairing off and digging pits - hope to get some spawns from these.

Hey shewolf,

I ordered these from another breeder and they were pricey. They have paired up and one laid eggs in a sand pit - I think I was able to get them out into a jar - not sure yet. The eggs look like the sand!

I paid 23 for just my one. I've seen them on aquabid. I so need more money for my fishes. I hope you have luck with the eggs. Keep me in mind if you are able to rasie them. (still want a pair or maybe a trio of blue rams that you have. My blue needs a mate lol)

I'm hoping mine is female, it seems well rounded. If so, maybe she'll pair with my blue or gold ram..

Hey shewolf - if you want any from this GBR spawn you need to hurry - with my pending orders I will be down to 3 or 4 pairs left.

dtd,

It was $72 for 6 and I drove over 2 hours to pick them up (it was during the winter and I didn't want to risk the shipping). I will offer them for the same price IF I can get them to breed. I have seen some places asking $40 or more an EBR - way too much IMO.

Hope I got some!
