DP tumor! Any thoughts appreciated...

Hey all,

I just turned on the lights in my DP tank, and noticed that my male has a pimple-looking tumor in front of his left eye. I know it wasn't there as of a couple days ago, and I can't say I noticed it yesterday but I didn't really examine this tank yesterday. I keep trying to get pics, but as usual he's not cooperating. I'll post them if I can get them.

Any thoughts are welcome!

PS... this is a 29 gallon tank, established and heavily planted for almost 2 years with 5 DPs and around 9 amano shrimp. Params are consistently 0-0-<5, no different now.

Okay, this pic is blurry as hell but you can kind of see what I mean. I should also add that he's acting very timid and stressed while everyone else in the tank looks and acts fine.

I finally got a little bit better of a pic... anyone have any ideas? I'm setting up a QT tank now, will this be necessary? Is there any meds or treatment I can do to help him? Thanks for any advice!

Thanks, Pap. That's pretty much along the lines of what I've been finding. It doesn't sound to me like QT is necessarily indicated.
